"Fitness has always played an important role in my life. I was extremely active throughout my youth because I was a cheerleader, ran track, and on the dance team. I first started strength training in 2013 and I greatly enjoyed seeing how my body transformed just from lifting weights and eating better. However, as the years progressed I got a little off track with my fitness goals. I seriously neglected myself physically and mentally. My self esteem and confidence suffered tremendously.
In 2018, I was severely depressed and I no longer recognized myself in the mirror. One day, I decided enough was enough and I "turned my pain into power!" I let go of everything that was holding me back and decided to focus solely on myself. I made a commitment to myself to take better care of myself and reclaim my power. I wrote down my fitness goals and I started going harder in the gym.
Fitness truly became therapy for me and I fell in love with it all over again. When I recognized my gifts, I decided I wanted to empower other women who have lived with depression and couldn't see a way out. So, I began working on my fitness brand "Body Goals By G." My vision behind my brand was to help others reach their body goals and to encourage mental wellness. Ever since then, I've been dedicated to empower others. Fitness has opened up my world and inspired me to help others be the best version of themselves (mentally and physically) and stand confidently in who they are!"
